The women chosen to be part of a bridal party are the most treasured people in the bride’s life. Because of this, shopping for the right gift for bridesmaid bridal party members is an important task. The bridesmaid’s gifts need to be personal, thoughtful and offer thanks for the support they have given, not just for the wedding, but over the course of the entire relationship. Finding the right gift might seem challenging at first, but if the bride takes time to think things over and consider her feelings for each woman in her bridal party, she will be able to choose just the right gift for each lady.

There are several different paths to take when it comes to gift giving. Gifts can be things, experiences, creations or time together. Each of these is appropriate for a bridal party gift, as long as the bride takes the feelings and emotions of the bridesmaid into consideration. For instance, a bride would not want to plan a skydiving trip together with one of her less adventurous bridesmaids. Likewise, those who have friends in their wedding party who are fun and outgoing would appreciate an adventure more than a trinket.

If a common complaint among the bridal party is not being able to spend enough time together, the bride can plan a day that brings everyone together for a fun or relaxing activity. This should be planned for after the wedding. If that is not possible, the bride should put the wedding on the backburner. The purpose is to thank her friends and spend time bonding with them, not put them to work on wedding projects. It will likely do the bride some good to get away from wedding planning anyway. A spa day makes an excellent gift for bridesmaid members of a bridal party. Other options are a nature hike, a trip to the museum or a night on the town.

Jewelry is another option for bridesmaid gifts. Even if the women in a bridal party all have different styles, it is possible to find a piece that complements everyone’s taste. If that seems too challenging, consider buying a unique piece for each lady. These can be engraved or convey meaning through whatever piece of jewelry is chosen. For instance, if two women met while enjoying a night out on St. Patrick’s Day, a necklace featuring a clover charm is appropriate. If a member of the bridal party is a family sister or cousin, birthstone jewelry featuring the bride and bridesmaid’s birthstones is a great gift.

To really create a personal gift for bridesmaid members of a bridal party, create scrapbooks for each woman. This is a great opportunity to commemorate the history a bride has shared with her bridesmaids. The longer a bride’s relationship with a member of the bridal party, the larger the scrapbook is going to be. It will take some work to design and assemble scrapbooks for each member of the wedding, so it is important to begin early. Photos will need to be collected and if there are going to be mementos in the book such as ticket stubs or greeting cards, copies will need to be made. Scrapbooks are a lot of work, but they make a great gift for bridesmaid members of a wedding.
